Your favourite Perks & White espresso bar in Herne Hill station has been given just 2 weeks notice to remove ourselves from the espresso bar we operate in by SouthEastern Railways whilst essential refurbishment takes place.

Yes, that's right, 2 weeks to remove ourselves from the premises, 2 weeks to find a location and 2 weeks to find a way to serve you all lovely locally roasted coffee!

Perks & White is a locally run independent business which serves the local community (you!) through selling locally sourced coffee and employing local people at the London Living Wage, and we believe that its disappearance would be a loss to the Herne Hill area.
 

We are not asking to prevent the eviction (this, we understand is inevitable if necessary refurbishment is to take place) but we ask that:

1. We have an extended notice period (of at least a month)

2. Be given support to operate from a temporary unit during the refurbishment so we can continue to serve you great coffee!

3. Be given first choice of a tender for the new commercial space in the refurbished station
