Delhi NCR is choking under hazardous smog since Diwali. It has been almost 5 days and still there is no relief. I understand there are many reasons for such situation and it will require long term measures to mitigate the same. 

But we need to take immediate steps as well. AQI has been recorded between 400-600 in most of the parts of Delhi NCR. In spite of public health emergency being declared here and schools being closed, other people have to go through their regular lives.

I am suffering from headache, irritation in eyes and fever even at a young age and minimum exposure to outside air. I am shocked to hear the problems from daily workers like auto drivers, my cook and others. The seriousness of the problem can be felt by each one of us and we can not let us get used to this hazard.

We need to raise our voices in unity against this issue. Though this will not be the end, we will continue our efforts till the final goal of pollution free Delhi is achieved through steps such as zero stubble burning in Punjab, Haryana and UP, less vehicular pollution and other eco-friendly measures like afforestation. 

As an immediate step, please sign this petition to ask government to use cloud seeding to induce artificial rain to at least lower the air pollution in Delhi NCR for now.
