For too long, Deb Cain and Brian Cowgill have been running roughshod over the taxpayers of this community, and it’s time we stop letting them get away with it. Brian Jeffrey is the only one who has cared for this community for the last 20 years, while others, including Cain and Cowgill, have sat idly by. Now that the money’s come in, suddenly they’re all interested, but they’ve shown nothing but disdain for the people who have actually worked to keep this community together.
Cain, as the Center Township Trustee, has been handing out public contracts to her friend, Cowgill, a firefighter, with zero regard for the public’s interest. Why was hundreds of thousands of dollars spent on a new fire station when the old one was perfectly fine? Who benefits from that? Not the hardworking men and women of this city — it’s Cain and Cowgill, lining their pockets while the rest of us get shafted.
This is a clear case of favoritism, mismanagement, and corruption. Cain is extending the cemetery to give Cowgill yet another contract for grass maintenance, and it’s obvious to anyone paying attention — this isn’t about serving the public, it’s about taking care of their friends now that the money has appeared. These politicians have turned our city into their personal piggy bank, using public resources for their own gain.
Enough is enough. This is the kind of behavior that robs everyday people of their hard-earned tax dollars. It’s time to demand answers, time to hold these so-called leaders accountable for their crooked dealings. The people will no longer sit quietly while they get richer off our backs. It’s time to stand up for what’s right and expose the corruption that’s been festering in our own backyard.
