The Issue

We urge TPAT and Mullion School to rethink and reinstate the BTEC drama and dance option for the present year 9.

Mullion School has long held a reputation for high quality performing arts education. The withdrawal of both GCSE Drama & Dance has left prospective students at a disadvantage.

Drama compliments wellbeing and confidence. English lit and language, inference, genres and  analysis.

Drama compliments music, maths, shape, space, timings and patterns.

Drama compliments history and the arts. Drama is FUN!

Drama also helps the overall use of a brain allowing for a much more well rounded person.

The performing arts offer so much to students that don't necessarily fit into the academic box. They give so many students a chance to express themselves, let their imaginations fly and to create something real, something that can last a lifetime and provide skills coveted by local businesses, heralded by the local community and benefitting the school’ profile and morale.

Please support this cause to ask Mullion School to reverse their decision or consider resource sharing with other TPAT schools in the area.
