PLEASE MR. SECRETARY ROBERT F KENNEDY JR. HELP PEOPLE WHO LOVE PETS WITH DRUG INFORMATION

The Issue

To Mr. Robert F Kennedy, Jr., Secretary of Health and Human Services: the FDA's Center for Veterinary Medicine needs to build a communication bridge with people who love pets. Your intervention is required to correct a deficiency in consumer protection affecting pets and people who love pets. The veterinary drug Convenia, manufactured by Zoetis, is injected into pets without first warning about its potential side effects and the unusual duration of its risks. This veterinary drug persists in the pet's body for 65 days. Once injected, the anti-bacterial effect lasts for 2 weeks, but this drug can cause adverse effects for more than 2 months, including the death of the animal patient. Without their knowledge, people who love pets are trapped torturously in a powerless situation due to the long-acting nature of this antibiotic. In addition to this unfair practice, there is no disclosure that this drug must be used cautiously in cases of pets suffering from kidney disease because they have difficulty eliminating it.
Complete information should be made transparent to the public.
Why are people who love pets left in the dark?
Why is this vital information not disclosed to people who love pets?
Please help pets and people who love them by requiring this pharmaceutical information to be disclosed before pets are injected with dangerous drugs such as Convenia in non-emergency outpatient settings. Please consider banning this drug, as has been requested by other petitions.
