Please make the penalty for killing a police K9 more severe in Kentucky.

The Issue

On June 30, police K9 Drago was killed when responding to a domestic violence situation in Floyd County KY. The person who killed him is charged with  "assault on a service animal," a class D felony punishable by 1 - 5 years in jail. I don't think that is enough!  This law needs to be more severe. For example, in Florida it is a second degree felony punishable by up to 15 years in jail. Please make this more severe. Thank you!
