Since 2020, Hasbro has released a popular ongoing "Marvel Legends: Retro Spider-Man" toyline that includes the old retro Toy Biz packaging based on the 1990s "Spider-Man: The Animated Series" toyline and has included action figures of Spider-Man, his allies, his enemies, and even some of his supporting cast.  However, a new figure for one of Spider-Man's most popular and iconic supporting characters, Mary Jane Watson(-Parker).

Fully introduced by writer Stan Lee and John Romita Sr. in "The Amazing Spider-Man", vol. 1, #42, Mary Jane Watson became one of the most popular and most recognizable supporting characters in not only the monthly Spider-Man comics, but in comic book history, with her first appearance panel considered one of the best character introductions in comics.  Mary Jane is one of Peter Parker's iconic love interests, as she was married to Peter from 1987 until the events of the controversial story "One More Day" in 2007 when their marriage was erased from continuity, and she has become one of Peter's on-again, off-again love interest and one of his closest allies since "One More Day".

Unfortunately, there has not had a new figure made for the "Spider-Man" toyline in several years.  While the "Retro Spider-Man" toyline did include an alternate civilian head of Mary Jane for their Gwen Stacy action figure, we, the fans, would like to see a new Mary Jane Watson figure in her first appearance clothes on a new body mold, with a new head sculpt based on her first appearance panel based on the art of the late, legendary artist John Romita Sr., and to include accessories of her purse, a removable jacket and alternate jacket sleeve arms.
