Please include a 10 Foot tall Adult Dilophosaurus in Next Jurassic Film

The Issue

As an avid fan of the Jurassic franchise. I know a lot about the franchise and I know that one thing many fans like me have eagerly wanted to see on screen is a full-grown adult Dilophosaurus.

Many fans of the franchise will recall the iconic first encounter of the Dilophosaurus in the first Jurassic Park film—a small crested dinosaur that spits venom and has a frill. However, the depictions we have received throughout the film franchise have all been juveniles. This has left many of us yearning to witness the fully grown 10-foot-tall adult Dilophosaurus.

It was even mentioned in a behind-the-scenes video that the Dilophosaurus was small in Jurassic Park, due to it being a juvenile. However, it was also scaled down to prevent confusion among the film audiences with the Velociraptors.

An adult Dilophosaurus was originally going to appear in one scene in the Jurassic World sequel, Fallen Kingdom. The first had Owen and Claire find an Adult Dilophosaurus with two juveniles on the Arcadia while trying to find a theropod dinosaur that they could extract blood from.

In Michael Crichton’s Jurassic Park novel, the Dilophosaurus played a role in the graphic fate of Dennis Nedry, a scene that was changed for the first film. Imagine the potential a scene could have if it featured an adult Dilophosaurus. Not only would it pay homage to the novel's legacy, but it would also showcase the size of a paleo-accurate Dilophosaurus.

Introducing an adult Dilophosaurus in the next Jurassic World film could open up a plethora of scene possibilities - terrifying chase sequences, intense confrontations with human characters or other dinosaurs. Plus, it offers a chance to correct past oversights and give fans a long-awaited addition that could elevate the film’s dramatic and entertainment value considerably.

I kindly urge Universal Pictures and the creative team behind the Jurassic World films to listen to the fans and consider this inclusion. By doing so, they would undoubtedly thrill audiences worldwide and create an unforgettable scene. Please join me in signing this petition to bring to life the highly requested adult Dilophosaurus in the next installment of the Jurassic series.
