Please improve Kstage’s ability to host XEED events
The Issue
This petition is on behalf of GREENY affected by Kstage's latest fan call refund.
We have lost all trust in Kstage's ability to run properly as a company. Time and time again, fans receive emails that their call has been canceled because of overselling. These notifications are usually within the first day of purchase.
But, this most recent event scheduled for May 19th has upset too many fans. Something needs to be done. GREENY are tired of being disappointed by the way Kstage continues to run and brush off our concerns.
On May 16th at 3 PM KST, Kstage went live to purchase individual fan calls for XEED members: Doha, Jaemin, and Bao.
Per usual, Doha sold out instantly. Refunds were given to oversold slots within the hour.
What made this event different was how Kstage failed to notice Bao and Jaemin had sold out, too. Their names continued to be labeled as 'Available' until May 18th. Thus, fans could still purchase 2-minute or 4-minute slots to talk to the boys. Since this is the first fan call in a few months, GREENY were excited to talk to them again.
Around 5-6 PM KST on May 18th, just 24 hours before the fan call was supposed to begin, several GREENY received the dreaded email for Bao and Jaemin:
"Hello, I'm Kstage shop. I'm informing you of the refund as the payment has been confirmed to be more than 60 purchases. I'm so sorry for the inconvenience."
This is A DAY before the calls. The timing of this announcement is not acceptable.
Fans had already scheduled work off.
Fans had plans to wake up at 4 AM.
Fans were so excited. For some, this was their first event. A few who purchased a call for the first time said they won't try again with Kstage. In other words, XEED's name is being affected, too.
Fans had written what they wanted to say to their member.
Fans had prepared what they wanted to show to XEED.
GREENY does not blame XEED or Nature Space. Fans want what is best for the boys and to hear our support for them.
In the future, GREENY urges Nature Space to not work with Kstage.If this is not possible, we hope Kstage actually changes something in how they run their business.Hire better employees.Change systems.Get an engineer to fix these obvious issues.Stop overselling immediately, not days after.
GREENYs' spirits are not good after this occurred. We are anxious about the next fan call event if Kstage is the host again. How often will this happen? It's now to the point where we expect it from this company. How many times should we feel disappointed by them? Fans won't accept this every time.
Again, XEED and Nature Space are not at fault. They deserve better. Clearly, Kstage can't fulfill that.
5/20 update: GREENY have been discussing this issue together over the past few days. It’s been discovered that many fans who purchased a fancall after May 16 were not refunded and made the call list, while GREENY who purchased on May 16 (minutes after the calls went on sale) were cancelled.
This goes against what Kstage claims in their emails about refunding based by order of purchase, and being first come first served according to their Twitter. Screenshots of emails and proof of purchase from fans making the call list and those who were cancelled before them will be attached to Nature Space. At this point, the dishonesty and failure to respond to questions/comments about this is more upsetting than the cancelled fancalls.
The deadline for this petition (before emailing it to Nature Space) is May 21, 5 PM KST.
