The judge for Matthew Ligus’ first civil court appearance on December 14/22 said no information is legally allowed to be disseminated. If found guilty, he only faces fines with a maximum of $6,000.00. These legal proceedings will likely take between a few weeks, to months. Once information is allowed to be made public, it will be included in future updates.
The focus of this petition is seeking further investigation, red flag laws, and criminal charges for animal cruelty (illegally killing four bear cubs), the illegal use of an unlicensed firearm, and ammunition.
As our petition continues to gather momentum, so too will our demands for justice. Please continue to share, ask others to share, and spread the word. Once we hit 11,000 signatures (the magic number), I will resend the petition to Passaic County Prosecutor Andrew Palestini of the animal cruelty unit, and include the New Jersey Attorney General.
Help by leaving a message for Prosecutor Andrew Palestini (it goes to voicemail), letting him know you want criminal charges for these heinous crimes!
His number is: 973-881-4325.
Stay tuned for future updates.
Sincerely,
Sheri Wolfe
