Hello Supporters, 

Some of us have called and left several messages for Passaic County Prosecutor Andrew Palestini to voice our concerns, pushing for further investigation, and criminal charges for the illegal slaughter of 4 innocent bear cubs by the accused Matthew Ligus. It’s been suggested that we are being stonewalled because this case is still under investigation, and this remains to be seen. 

This is a shout out to keep the faith, and help continue building more momentum and putting additional pressure on the Prosecutor. This can be accomplished by you pinning a link to this petition with a brief description on your Facebook/Twitter page and other social media sites.  I implore you all to leave a message for Prosecutor Palestini @ 973-881-4325.

I recommend sending him a message asking him to investigate this case and bring criminal charges against Matthew Ligus.  I have updated the petition with questions that should be considered.  Please include these questions in your email correspondence and let him know your sentiments and concerns regarding this case.  Lastly, let him know a reply would be greatly appreciated, but if this case is being investigated, a response is unlikely.  That said, your email is very important as it lets him know people around the world want answers, and time will not change this.  These are heinous crimes that need to be answered for as justice for the cubs is a necessity. 

Despite not being allowed to disclose information from Ligus’ first civil court appearance, what I can say is that actions he has taken lead me to believe he is being criminally investigated.  I wish I could say more, and once legally permitted, more info will be released in future updates. 

We need to be patient, and diligent with our continued support for this petition. After 5 weeks, we are already over 4400 signatures, so 11,000 is achievable by February!
