October 3 2022: DLR concede a High Court Order against their 2022 plans for the controversial redevelopment of Shanganagh Park (overwhelmingly opposed by 72% of public submissions and 1,000+ submissions ignored by Dún County Council)
December 19 2022: DLRCOCO misjudge the season of goodwill in the week before Christmas and open new consultation process (don’t forget the public meetings in Woodbrook College on 17 Jan at 1830 & 21 Jan at 1400 - see below!) and publish new plans bearing an uncanny resemblance to the old plans but with even more facilities crammed in to the heart of the park, ripping out diminishing open green space and precious meadowlands.
January 24 2023: consultation closes.
February 3 2023: DLRCOCO, no doubt having worked around the clock in the intervening 7 working days, fully take on board public views and adapt their plans accordingly in a new Part 8 process…
Yeah, we don’t think it’s possible either!
Do not let this be another DLRCOCO bulldozer over public views and lip service to our valid concerns around the environmental, social and economic madness of these proposals when obvious, sustainable solutions exist.
