Please help prevent the industrialization of 70 acres in Rural Black Hammock of Oviedo

Please help prevent the industrialization of 70 acres in Rural Black Hammock of Oviedo
The Issue
The Problem: The Seminole County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) will be reviewing a request to remove Rural Oveido zoning to build on nearly 70 acres by a corporate developer. This is located at the northeastern corner of Florida Avenue and DeLeon Street from the Rural Charter Boundry and has been home to Pappy's Strawberry patch forever.
The applicant is Christopher E Dorworth, the owner of Strawberry Lane, LLC, located at 1520 WHITSTABLE COURT HEATHROW, FL 32746. This is in violation of the current law as the Seminole County residents voted for this area be in the protected boundary. The agreements were made to the homeowners when the proposed location was zoned rural and not able to build because of the wildlife and the perseverance of the Black Hammock. A public hearing is to be held 12/14 at Seminole County Service Building, 1101 East First Street, Sanford, Florida, Board of Chambers (Room 1028) Sanford, FL @ 1:30 PM. This is a peaceful discussion.
Solution: The Seminole County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) has the power to deny the request. Make your opinion known to prevent the industrialization of rural Oveido, and sign this petition. Thanks for your effort to protect "Old Florida".
The solution would be not to build on this 70-acre country location of families and community. We should all stick to the original plan bound by law. The whole Black Hammock would suffer as this would create reduced market value of all of the homes in the area and endanger wildlife. Build where it is already zoned to do so and as we don't need to create a "special exception" and destroy the area.
Personal story
We have lived in Oviedo for around 15 years and my family purchased a home back in 2011. We love the "Old Florida" feel and it's been great to raise a family here. My girls love the community and have been involved in numerous sports and activities. I am a Veteran and received an MS from USF and my goal was to retire here in the Black Hammock. If there is an industrialized overhaul then it will take away the "Old Florida" feel and remove the rural area. The value of the house properties in the area will decrease and it will affect the natural habitat. We hope with more stories of families like ours can influence The Seminole County Board of County Commissioners (BCC) to deny the request. Make your peaceful opinion known to prevent the industrialization of rural Oveido, and sign this petition. Thanks for your effort to protect "Old Florida", our community, and the habitat. These are my own opinions.
