Contact the government of the Philippines and demand the safe return of Irish citizen Eanna O’Cochlain

Please sign this petition to help free an innocent man!

Eanna O’Cochlain was arrested at Laoag International Airport in July 2013.The Cork native was about to board a flight to Manila when security staff claimed they found the 55-year-old trying to smuggle two sticks of dried marijuana leaves hidden inside a Marlboro cigarette pack.

His brother Patrick yesterday insisted he was an innocent man, telling a news source “You couldn't make this up, my brother did nothing wrong and he is being held abroad away from his family and his home and it’s gone on long enough.

“He was searched three times at the airport that day and says the cannabis didn't appear until he was searched just as he was about to board and that just doesn't seem right. They were obviously planted on him.”

Eanna was arrested, tried and sentenced to 12 years in jail – despite the fact he insisted he’d been repeatedly searched at the airport and no drugs were discovered until he was about to board.

Eanna is currently on bail awaiting that dreaded day to come, to begin that 12 year sentence of injustice that no human should ever have to face!

Again i ask you to please sign & share this petition!

Thank you.
