In Christmas of 2014 my ex fiance gave me a beautiful little kitten for Christmas that I named Willow. I connected with her more than any other animal I've had and used to call her my spirit kitty. Anyone who knows me knows she was my fur baby and that I love her more than anything.

Unfortunately things weren't working out between my ex and I so we chose to amicably separate and of course I initially took Willow; however, in 2018 I unexpectedly got pregnant and had to move in with my now boyfriend and he had a dog that would have ripped my Willow to pieces. I did what was best for her at the time, even though I was devastated and let my ex take her under the VERY explicit understanding that if he ever had to rehome her for any reason she would come right back to me; he wholeheartedly agreed and told me I would always be able to visit and he would never be with anyone who would make him get rid of her. I saw Willow right up until I had my daughter. 

After my daughter was born I tried to see my cat and was told my exes new girlfriend wasn't comfortable with our friendship and with me seeing my cat, I was upset but gave them their space. I reached out a few months later and asked for an update on my cat and was told she was doing well; I was never given updates voluntarily. My ex and I had been on very good terms and we were friends until he moved in with his girlfriend and they got more serious.

Now I have recently found out (after reaching out again) that my beloved cat was given away to a family member of my ex. I was never told, he never reached out to me, nothing. I am beyond devastated and just want my baby back. I know she is in a home with a dog and she was absolutely terrified of dogs. I have a beautiful home now with no other animals and just want my Willow back. I have asked him and begged him to give her back and he has been less than kind. I've offered money and this is my last step before taking legal action. 

I was a wonderful cat mom to Willow; I took her outside on a leash every day, kept up with all her vet appointments, played with her and gave her plenty of love and affection. I only let him take her because I was doing what was best for her at the time. Had I known he was going to do this and not uphold our agreement, I never would have let him take her in the first place. I have cried for days and am exhausting all of my options to get my baby back. Please sign my petition and help me bring her home.
