Stop Sideshow Productions

The Issue

The owner of this tattoo studio has zero experience in the industry, and hires artists that do not belong working in this industry due to lack of experience. For example, he hired a piercer recently and Friday the 13th came,  and the owner allowed the piercer (with very little experience in tattooing) to do tattoos on the general public.  I also had to fix a tattoo that his “main artist” did that was completely horrible. Places like this that do not understand the danger they are putting innocent people in due to hiring unqualified individuals, to perform the services offered in an establishment like this… Not only is the owner careless, about hiring inexperienced people, but when he does have people with a lot of experience, he doesn’t listen at all. This guy has no business owning and operating a tattoo studio and is putting the general public’s health at risk by operating this company carelessly. I am petitioning to have the Salt Lake County health department revoke this studios health permit, and not be allowed to operate any longer. Our industry has plenty of professional options in town, and places like this should not be in existence these days. Our industry has came a long way, and there are plenty of  qualified individuals that put a lot of their time, and effort into providing our services in a safe manor.

Also once any of the artists or piercers finally see what this guy is all about, and decide to leave his studio, he tries to implement a fee of $1300 for a breach of contract, when clearly stated in the contact it says that you can quit “for cause” and I believe that the cause of actually caring about the outcome of the service and holding his/her peers to a higher standard as well is most definitely a cause that matters. I did not want to be associated with a company that allows inexperienced personnel perform permanent services on the general public.

Please feel free to view the shops Instagram page at  @sideshowproductionsstudios to see exactly what they post that they consider well done tattoos.
