OB 3 was DENIED today by a vote of 5-0 at the Cobb Commission Zoning hearing. The applicants worked hard and presented a petition. However, for years there has been recognition by the County and community that there are too many automotive oriented uses. There are too few uses that residents can walk to and enjoy a meal with friends. Not all business needs to be 100% dependent on commuter traffic. The right business could draw nearby residents. We realize that the applicant hoped to have an oil change business approved, but there are many uses allowed under the NRC zoning. We will try to be proactive in reaching out to potential new uses that the community would support. If there are new developments in this case we will keep you updated. Thank you for your support.
