A heartfelt request from Newcastle and Hunter and regional NSW fans.

Powderfinger’s music has been part of our lives for decades. From the songs we’ve grown up with to the memories we’ve made along the way, their music holds a special place in the hearts of so many Australians.

With Powderfinger returning to the stage in 2027, we’re asking the band and their tour organisers to please consider adding Newcastle to the tour.

There are so many passionate Powderfinger fans across Newcastle,  the Hunter Valley and regional NSW who would love the chance to see the band perform live, reconnect with their music and share that experience with friends and family.

We know bringing a tour to a city takes a lot of planning, but we hope this petition helps show just how much a Newcastle show would mean to local fans.

For many of us, it would be more than just a concert. It would be an opportunity to relive memories, sing along to the songs we love and create some new ones.

We’re simply asking you to consider Newcastle.

If you’d love to see Powderfinger play in Newcastle in 2027, please sign this petition and share it with other fans.

Let’s show Powderfinger how much they’re loved here in the Hunter, and how grateful we’d be for the opportunity to welcome them to our city.

With hope and appreciation,

Newcastle and Hunter Powderfinger fans
