UPDATE: August 18, 2023:
8:10 a.m. Andrew was spotted running on Weston/St. Clair. He entered McDonald's for breakfast. A photo was sent. I contacted Toronto Division 23 Police to advise them of the sighting. This was actually Division 11 territory. The Division 11 officer came and apprehended Andrew and took him to hospital. Division 23 delivered the Form 2 and Collateral information to the hospital ER.
The police officer was very kind and called me when she arrived at the hospital with Andrew. Andrew was taken to the ER. I asked the triage nurse to give Andrew a message, "MOM AND DAD LOVE YOU!"
Andrew was ADMITTED for up to 72 hours. We spoke to a social worker. I advised her that the goal is to medically transfer Andrew back to P.E.I. I do have the support of Andrew's psychiatrist and Ontario politicians as well as 4624 people who have signed the PLEASE BRING ANDREW BRYENTON HOME TO P.E.I. PETITION.
Several people have contacted the Ontario Minister of Health, Sylvia Jones. Associate Minister of Mental Health and Addictions, Michael Tibillo and Premier of Ontario, Doug Ford.
There is a provision under the Mental Health Act whereby the Minister of Health can issue an order to have Andrew medically transferred home to P.E.I.. If this order does not happen, Andrew could be released to the streets again on Monday, August 21, 2023.
I think Andrew's PLEASE BRING ANDREW BRYENTON HOME TO P.E.I. PETITION with 4698 signatures will have an impact on the Minister of Health, Sylvia Jones. Here is the link: https://chng.it/TMKMZfHH2p
Literally thousands of Ontario and Prince Edward Island residents care about Andrew and many other homeless Andrews on the streets.
The Toronto media is taking great interest in Andrew's story. A blog was written by Marvin Ross entitled, WHY ONTARIO'S MENTAL HEALTH IS DEFICIENT - THE TALE OF A HOMELESS MAN WHO SHOULDN'T BE HOMELESS. Here is the link:

The Globe and Mail reporter, John Morris, came to take photos for the upcoming article written by Marcus Gee. It may be published in the August 19, 2023 edition.
