Dear Friends, Thanks so much for signing my petition asking Ben & Jerry’s to honor Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg with her very own flavor. The company has listened to customers before -- Cherry Garcia, their most popular flavor, was suggested by a fan of Jerry Garcia -- so I know it’s possible to make this happen! Just as it’s important to honor women in history, I also think it’s important to credit women who have great ideas. That’s why I wanted to share with you two pieces by writers Tania Lombarzo and Amanda McCall, who were the first ones to suggest asking Ben & Jerry’s to make a Ruth Bader Ginger flavor. Amanda started off the call with a piece on Buzzfeed alerting us to the fact that only two of Ben & Jerry’s honorary flavors have featured women and none of the ones currently in production honor a woman.
