Stop selling plastic water bottles at PUSD schools.

My proposal is to reduce the amount of waste that our school district is producing by ending district spending on imported water and eliminate the sale of bottled water on school grounds. We are already provided with "hydration stations" around campus that allow our students to fill their reusable water bottles for free. However, since bottled water is available for purchase, the stations aren't utilized as frequently as they could be. Eliminating the sale of plastic water bottles will not only help our environment, but will also help educate students on how to decrease their global footprint. It may seem like a small step, but I believe it can make a big impact. The school district is currently under contract with their vendor to purchase bottled water for the entire school year. Let's convince them that it is not fiscally or environmentally responsible to renew it in the future. Help me make a push for what is right so that the future of our beautiful town and planet does not become destroyed based on the poor environmental choices we are making today.
