To ask Scottish Rugby to play the Ukrainian National Anthem at the Scotland versus Wales match at Murrayfield, Edinburgh on Saturday 8th March 2025 in support of the Ukrainian people in their fight to repel the Russian invasions of their country.

Members of our families, who fought to defend freedom and democracy in WWII, would be turning in their graves if we didn't show our support for Ukraine against a despot trying to take any European sovereign soil without a fight.

Civilian deaths

As of January 31, 2025, the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights reported 12,605 civilian deaths in Ukraine. 

Refugees

As of February 2025, 6.9 million people have fled Ukraine and sought refuge in neighboring countries and other parts of the world. 

Internally displaced

As of February 2025, 3.7 million people were internally displaced in Ukraine. 

Humanitarian needs

In 2025, about 12.7 million people in Ukraine need humanitarian assistance, including almost 2 million children. 

Energy crisis

The war has severely damaged Ukraine's energy infrastructure, making it difficult for people to access water, electricity, heating, healthcare, education, and social protection. 

Military deaths

The war has resulted in many military deaths on both sides, including non-combat deaths from mines and unexploded ordnance. 

Damage

The war has caused widespread destruction of homes and businesses.
