My mother is a cancer survivor and everyday, I fear it will come back and take her from me. We will all die, but we hope to do so with dignity. Knowing everything that could have been does, has been, and that our family can move on. To those doctors, shame on you. Cancer is a parasite, it has no bias; why should you? I have an invisible disability. Sometimes things don't show up on tests. It doesn't mean you should stop looking. When someone tells you something is wrong, something is wrong! You need to trust your patient, and that they know their own body better than you do. And to the family, I am sorry. I'm sorry that this happened, I'm sorry about what people have no doubt been saying and I'm sorry they didn't try to help.
Cancer doesn’t recognise age it doesn’t care but the NHS should care. Even if the NHS isn’t sure they should test for cancer. I am so sorry for your loss. I have also suffered loss due to the NHS negligence
Such a young life lost leaving behind a heartbtoken family. Surely we can do more, everyone deserves all medical help available regardless of age. Let Islas story be a lesson to be learned from and hopefully improve services provided. Heartfelt sympathies to all xx
Cancer is an evil, brutal & callous illness to this day.
I personally lost a number of my family members in such abrupt and ruthless circumstances.
Therefore, any paediatric symptoms must be treated with the same urgency as soon as they become apparent.
Full medical care, attention and access to diagnostics must be made immediately available irrespective of age, gender or any other discriminatory factor that may be used by the NHS in making such crucial decisions.
The NHS in the UK is obligated to perform its duties with utter professionalism without any political or any other venomous reasoning to justify its incompetence &/or negligence in such sad outcomes.
Let the decision makers and those involved in such failures feel the guilt in gambling with innocent lives.
Every one of us is subject to such sad & painful circumstances.
Cancer is consumed by hatred to humans.
Full Medical Care must be instantly provided until a cure is found.
My mom and dad died of cancer when I was in middle school and my struggling grandparents had to take care of the four of my siblings and me, boo cancer
Me and my friends frequently visit portobello beach and have fires will sitting around talking together until late hours in the night (sometimes 1-3am), it's worrying knowing how unsafe we are and many of our friends have stopped coming because of it, which is a shame as portobello is a lovely place, and sometimes the only time we get to all be together is when we have our meet ups and fire. I'd like to be able to come and go knowing my loved ones and I are safe, it's terrifying hearing about all of these incidents
I have lived in and around portobello for many years my teenage daughter has gone to school in portobello and the one place I thought was relatively safe for her to be hanging out with friends and unfortunately not anymore,
To be expected to pay £ thousands in 14 days because you have been late paying a monthly instalment by a few days (even 2 days!!!!) is completely unjust. They add on a few hundred extra as well to send the letter. Like other bills, it should be OK to pay a bit late sometimes - with just a late fee. Not a few hundred pounds penalty and a demand for £3.5 k in 14 days or else.
Our forests are getting less and less numerous, and so many have died at our hands already, that we must do everything in our power to save the remaining.
