The United States uses enough straws daily to circle the equator (24,901 miles) more than two times. As middle schoolers in Massachusetts, this statistic is frightening and alarming. We are advocating towards a plastic straw ban throughout Massachusetts, because we believe that this is a necessary step towards the future of the state.
