Our surrounding cities such as Frisco, Lewisville, Rockwall, and Garland are all building their own large ISD natatoriums.

Our district team swims in much smaller pools limited to only 6 lanes during practices. This greatly restricts the size of our swimming teams and the ability to achieve more in region and state competitions. Plano ISD schools can not form a water polo team because it needs a much deeper and wider pool space. There are also many other benefits to this construction plan, such as therapy for special education students, the ability for ISD high schools to host larger meets, learn-to-swim programs for kids within the district lines, the ability for 2nd-grade classes across the district to rotate through each week for water safety courses and the list goes on.
