Allow disabled students to participate in main graduation ceremonies.

The Issue

Victoria McKennon was first diagnosed with cystic fibrosis when she was 7 years old. After numerous hospitalizations, she has fallen one credit short of walking the stage with her friends in their High School Commencement Ceremony. Despite pleas and casework, administration continues to refuse to let her attend and participate in mainstream ceremonies. She does not want an early diploma, nor waived graduation requirements, just simply to walk on the stage with her peers. She understands that she will have to complete her last credit to receive her diploma.

This petition is a demand for the school board to reconsider their stance on how disabled students participate in graduation ceremonies.
