We, the residents of Frisco, are petitioning the City of Frisco's Planning & Zoning Commission to prevent Oncor from constructing a large electrical substation across from Allen Elementary School (5800 Legacy Drive) within walking distance of our homes and parks. We are greatly concerned about the health and welfare of our families, particularly our children who may be at a greater risk for diseases, particularly childhood leukemia from magnetic fields from overhead lines. The evidence is strong enough for EMFs to be classified by the World Health Organization as "possibly carcinogenic." http://www.emfs.info/living-substation

Also, it's important to note that WE ARE NOT ONCOR'S CUSTOMERS. Oncor's customers that are benefiting from this substation will not be subjected to it's dangers, unsightly appearance, and 70' towers that will undeniably cause a drop in our property values. 

There are numerous better suited locations for Oncor's electrical substation which do not endanger the lives of innocent children playing in the park or attending Allen Elementary School. We urge Oncor to act in a more responsible manner and select a different location for their project.

Please sign this petition to tell the Planning & Zoning Commission that you are against the building of Oncor's electrical substation in our backyard and we are fighting to protect our right to peaceful living conditions, property, health, and safety.
