Dear Neighbors,

I’d like to bring this solar project to you attention, if you don’t already know.  Four Star Farms submitted a proposal to the Planning Board for three solar arrays. These proposed solar fields will DESTROY our scenic views of several hundred acres of agricultural land. Pine Meadow Road is part of the Franklin County Bikeway. It also provides scenic walks and drives to visit the Riverview Picnic Area.

This project has been in the works for two years now. The Farm signed a deal with Blue Wave solar in Dec 2018 and amended it in Dec 2020. This past summer SOME of the neighbors were invited to a meeting about the project but not all. I’m not against solar to assist with the continuous rising electric costs but with this amount of panels it’s only for monetary gain.

This project doesn’t just touch the residents of Pine Meadow Road, Riverview Drive and Cross Road that will be able to see these eyesores. It affects everyone who drives, rides, walks or runs this road to enjoy our beautiful historic agricultural landscape.
