On the 27th of August 2018 Luke Amos was suspended for 10 days and a possible expulsion because he made an edgy joke in class that threatened someone. Luke didn't know that it threatened the person in question nor did he want it to. Even though Luke made it clear to everybody involved that he actually didn't truly believe the topic of the joke and that he wasn't serious he was still given the punishment that would be given to someone who actually made a real threat to harm someone/people. Luke is missing out on valuable learning time. how is he supposed to miss 10 days of school and have his grades not suffer? We understand that what he did was not okay , but the punishment is too harsh for just a joke. So we the students of PHS ask that Luke Amos have his punishment lessened or at least be reassured that Luke will not be expelled.
