Many people have been killed by raging water in the drainage ditch along U.S. Hwy 75 in Sherman. The ditch runs south from Taylor street and empties into Post Oak Creek. On December 24, 2024 a family of 6 hydroplaned into the ditch. The father passed away and the search is ongoing for a child that is unaccounted for. Just a couple of years ago, a husband and wife died in the same manner. We are BEGGING the State of Texas to place barriers to prevent vehicles from going into the drainage ditch! ENOUGH DEATH HAS OCCURED AT THIS LOCATION! Help stop it by signing this petition to place pressure on the State of Texas.
