
Why is Malaysia, a small nation of 30 M population, almost having 2 cars' per household, so keen on continuously buying cars? Why the extreme vicious cycle?
From a neighboring Asean tiger -- by just using one card (Octopus card, same like TnG) they can board any public transport. Their citizens don't need to own a car, don't need to rely on parents' help to drive or commute to a certain location, can go out with friends, from elementary school all the way to University, and also safe for senior citizens. Will this efficient transport, ever happen for M'sia?
If we view the video, HK's MRT per unit cost/km, is way lower than our LRT/ MRTs. Why is this not achieveable here?
Hence, a good, efficient, progressive model for Public Transport Network - is a means for freedom in Klang Valley. We planned the 60:40 ratio, for public transport back in 2015. When is this going to materialise? Why don't our elected reps not talk about this?
