We the people of Pittsylvania County, Virginia are not satisfied nor happy with the work that the Lynchburg Humane Society is doing at our new facility The Pittsylvania Pet Center on Hwy 29 in Chatham, VA.

Their protocols on animal care are not what we expected nor are their adoption policies acceptable. Animals are at risk health wise and are at risk being placed without the proper references being taken to protect the animals welfare. 

Lynchburg Humane Society has alienated and bullied their employees and the public creating a hostile environment among its peers. They have not honored their agreements and we are asking for their removal and revocation of their contract with the county and be replaced by experienced animal care individuals that reside in the county of Pittsylvania. 

Former employees of Pittsylvania Pet Center who were wrongfully terminated due to their demand for better practices should be considered first to fill the positions.
