Spanish, Latin and French are great language options. So is American Sign Language. This language is the most used in the United States after English and Spanish. Rochester is home to the largest deaf community per capita in the United States and students will have plenty of opportunities here to interact with the language. One benefit of being multilingual is that it improves cognition. 

Rochester, in general, has had ASL offerings in many school districts, and at some area colleges including RIT and UR. Pittsford Central School District has not taken up on this opportunity.  Let’s change that!
