Mayor Bill Peduto has lied to his constituents about the way the police responded to the peaceful protests in East Liberty on Monday, June 1st. Video evidence makes clear that the Pittsburgh Bureau of Police instigated the violence against non-violent protesters.

Pittsburgh City Council must use their powers as established in the Pittsburgh City Home Rule Charter to launch an investigation into Mayor Bill Peduto's handling of the protests and to begin the process of removing Chief Scott E. Schubert.

At a pivitol moment in the fight to eliminate racism in America, not only did Pittsburgh Police insight violence amongst peaceful protesters, but Mayor Peduto lied to the city, attempting to cover up the inhumane actions of his police force.

We as Pittsburghers must hold our elected officials accountable.
