NSFW Tags and Filtering For Pinterest

NSFW Tags and Filtering For Pinterest
The Issue
Pinterest does not currently have NSFW filtering. This is a basic feature that should be implemented, and indeed is implemented on numerous popular image sharing sites, and the lack of it has hurt users and also creates more work for Pinterest.
Pinterest users having been penalized for pins that they thought were considered appropriate as well as having related problems for years on Pinterest, and I have just recently been among them. People who post and pin things who may have reason to be unsure of general community appropriateness could also avoid problems such as board and account suspension, and also Pinterest would have to do the latter to a much lesser degree.
There are a variety of users on Pinterest, and the lack of this feature only alienates users, which are a viewership resource for Pinterest's advertising clients. Pinterest would attract more users and more demographics. Again, there are benefits to both Pinterest and users.
Due to the ease of using the Pinterest app and the Pinterest web extension, Pinterest has a huge amount of outright porn and erotic images, that Pinterest cannot intrinsically keep up with banning and removing. We sympathize with the interests of parents and people who don't want to see certain content: with transparent settings that give these people an easy way to use the NSFW filter to not see NSFW tagged content, their chances of seeing such content will be greatly reduced. Then, also synergistically, Pinterest can focus on more spammy and irresponsible accounts that do not appropriately tag shared material as NSFW, thus 1) saving Pinterest even more effort and 2) allowing Pinterest to remove and penalize a better percentage of users actually causing concerned parties to see content that the latter would avoid.
The solution is clear and simple and should have been implemented quite a while ago. Both boards and pins should have the option to be tagged NSFW. All users should have a clear and accessible option protected by a child lock to be able to block all content tagged this way.
I have for some time been thinking about this, but it really came to a head recently with my own experience. As an artist, I had a rocky start with my profession and lived at sub-poverty levels. Without extra hard drive space and the convenience of Pinterest, I could compile and organize and find thousands of reference images. However, Pinterest decided that in particular my board with female nude references was inappropriate, and in fact took further strict actions against my account (even though I had a board with lots of male nudes that was not repetitively penalized). This caused me a lot of stress, both in that I thought I was conforming to Pinterest rules, and because I effectively lost a huge amount of data that took quite a bit of time to put together.
I and many other users wouldn't have had to have had that experience, nor would I risked sharing content that other users may have found offensive, with NSFW tags and filtering. If possible, I would like to have my boards reinstated, and other users recently penalized similarly to also also have boards reinstated on request, for having to deal with the chronic ridiculous lack of a perfectly reasonable feature that would have saved us and others a lot of stress. These users and I should also have account restrictions lifted if those restrictions were based on "inappropriate" material that wasn't racist or illegal, etc. Reinstate these lost boards with both pins and boards tagged NSFW.
"Pinterest" is a name under ownership by Pinterest and the website pinterest.com. I am not affiliated with Pinterest nor am I using the name for commercial use. The red on the sides of my graphic is not "Pinterest red." I purposely checked color codes for "Pinterest red" and Pinterest logo graphics so that I would not use "Pinterest red." This petition has no commercial interest and references Pinterest in a way that is protected by Free Speech laws in the United States.
