Pineapple Cove Academy Lockmar has recently opened a new charter school in Lockmar Estates at the corner Nesbitt Street and Emerson Drive.  They have made the streets of our quiet neighborhood their drop off loop. They are having parents make a right onto Hurst Road off of Emerson Road. They continue onto Hurst Road to right on Pineda Avenue. Then right onto Nesbitt Street.  Our quiet neighborhood was not built to sustain this type of traffic. We do not have sidewalks and we are an active community.  There are always people out walking, riding bikes, jogging and walking dogs on our narrow streets. This was never a problem in the past. The traffic from the school is causing backups and private driveways are being blocked. The parents are driving entirely too fast on streets that have so much pedestrian traffic.  The community was never advised of this plan.  We should have been allowed input into this decision. 

Pineapple Cove Lockmar and the city of Palm Bay needs to come up with a solution to this problem.  Pineapple Cove should be required to create a drop off loop on their property.  Our neighborhood should not be adversely affected by this. 

Pineapple Cove Lockmar needs to find a solution before someone is injured on our streets.
