Dear Signers,
My interview with The Bridge has been published. “Those golden days when he got clicked with the country’s PM are a thing of the past,” the article begins. A lot has changed since my triumph at the 2018 Para Asian Games. Today, I’m not able to participate in tournaments due to a lack of funds.

I told the journalist that while my main aim is to make it to the Indian team for the next edition of the Para Asian Games, it’s looking difficult right now since I’m not able to train properly because of financial constraints.
The meagre prize money from blind chess tournaments is not enough for a family of five, comprising my wife and I, and our three children, one of whom was also born blind as it’s a hereditary condition.
I also told the journalist how two of my fellow blind chess players from Odisha, Soundarya Pradhan and Prachurya Pradhan, are employed by their state government in the Odisha Mining Corporation for their achievements in chess, while I continue to get ignored by my state government," he sighed.
Even the All India Chess Federation for the Blind has supported my appeal for a sports quota job. I am an English and Law graduate, but sadly, no one wants to employ a blind chess champion. I am reliant on the state government to provide me with a sports quota job.
You’re my only support. Please continue sharing this petition within your social circles. Also share the article published by The Bridge. Help my story reach far and wide, so that the Kerala state government cannot ignore my demand anymore.
