Ally Miller, as a representative, is among the most privileged class in our local community and her statement shows a lack of relatability to the community she serves as well as a proper perspective on the tragedy occurring in American culture. Her statements, instead of calling for unity and solidarity, embolden the cause of tribal identity that has lead to the existing chaos. Her lack of perspective, her self-portrayal as victim, and defense of her irresponsible words prove she should not be in any position that represents a diverse, peaceful and empathetic community.
