My concerns are how me and my son and the general public have been treated by the employees at Pike County Animal Shelter. Today we experienced a beautiful dog that we wanted to adopt and bring home we was told no because he was apparently vicious? But the placement card on his kennel stated he was gentle & did not bite !

And a post was made to social media in regards to this and numerous comments and shares were made about how poorly our community has been treated by the employees at the facility and the comments in regards to adoptions that were not allowed to happen because employees wanted to keep the animals for theirselves and how some of the animals were even seen in distress, how some animals were been returned to the shelter due to aggression and then adopted out again without formal notifications to the public. We are a concerned community that just wants answers to why so many are been mistreated when all we want is the best for our Animals, Childrens & Family’s. So with this petition I Hope everyone will stand their grounds & the shelter will be investigated with proper authority for the well being of our Community.
