After receiving official site developer designation from the Massachusetts Port Authority (Massport) late last year, The Trustees Boston Waterfront Initiative is working to transform a dilapidated pier in East Boston into a welcoming waterfront destination, Piers Park III. Collaborating closely with the community and drawing on The Trustees’ long history of expertise in public open space management, The Trustees Boston Waterfront Initiative and world-renowned landscape architect Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates, Inc. will create an iconic new park, free and open to all.
