I hope you will be able to attend the monthly public PTI Board Authority meeting Tuesday, Jan 23 at 2:00 PM at the Airport. I plan to be there to represent the 6,000+ people that have signed this petition. My focus will be that there is nothing broken or wrong with the current name and it is simply not necessary to spend taxpayers money to do any marketing research to determine a new name. In my simple SurveyMonkey 83% of the surveys said keep the name what it is. 76% said the "feel like Piedmont Triad should be part of the name". The few that did not see the benefit of the "Piedmont Triad" name said it should be "Greensboro International Airport" The strong outpouring of support on this petition has gotten the attention of the Airport Board of Directors and the local media.
