The novel coronavirus, COVID-19, has affected the lives of all Americans. The Circleville Pumpkin show hosts around 100,000 people a day, if not more, 400,000 or more people in the week at minimum. Everyday more than ten times the population of our quaint town are in our city limits.
We must not put this aside. This year is not normal. We MUST take action now. It’s saddening, but as someone who’s been to every Show their whole life, we cannot play around. There are far too many people around. 
It has only been cancelled twice, but we must cancel it again. This is no joke. We have to take every precaution for our population. Not only is there going to be a lot of people, these people are going to be shoulder to shoulder. Everyone knows that it’s cramped at the Pumpkin Show. This will also have an effect on our local economy if we have another large shutdown because of a surge of cases. 

Other large gatherings such as Red, White, and Boom!, the Ohio State Fair, etc have been cancelled. Small ones, such as the Ashville Fourth of July have also cancelled. We must do the same. Please sign to stop a needless addition to our current health crisis.
