PAHS is considering providing purple robes for graduation starting with the Class of 2018. This has apparently upset some in our community who feel that purple for men and white for women should continue. We offer this opinion instead:

PAHS graduates over the decades have graduated in various colored robes — all black, all purple, purple & white. (And we have the graduation photos to prove it!)

We, the undersigned, understand that the color of graduation gowns has little to do with the tradition of Phantom pride. We'd much prefer that Dr. Parkinson, the school board, and administration be free to spend their time on issues that have more impact on actual education.

All purple sounds just fine!
