Phoenix City Council: SAVE PSC- DO NOT REMOVE SPECIAL PERMIT DESIGNATION FROM OUR FACILITY
For 24 years Phoenix Swim Club has been the premier competitive swim club in the city of Phoenix and one of the leading swim clubs in the world. The club offers programs for swimmers of all ages and levels of development, from the five year old beginner to the Olympic gold medalist. Athletes from around the world have trained at this facility and now all that stands between the survival of the swim club and another 35 tract houses is this special permit designation. This proposed project is not “infill” but will destroy an important component of our Phoenix community that promotes health, recreation, and the economy of central Phoenix.
We know what a positive impact being a part of Phoenix Swim Club has on the life of a young swimmer. Phoenix Swim Club is a vibrant and vital part of our community. It is a place where swimmers gather to exercise, compete and socialize. It is the centerpiece of this neighborhood and the community we seek to create together.
