In late summer/early fall 2016 the band Phish came out with a new album called Big Boat. While this album is no doubt going to have good songs on it that Phish will play in concerts, there is one original composition that was debuted during Summer Tour 2016 that was not included in the new album: the Jon Fishman-penned "Ass Handed". This song, which arguably represents both an ability to superbly craft music with a strong message as well as a sense of humor, was almost universally received with positive critical acclaim. Out of all the songs debuted during Summer Tour '16, this one was played the most times, yet was not given a slot on the new album. 

This petition is meant to show the breadth of popular support for the song "Ass Handed" and to convince the band and their record label that mass support for a single release of "Ass Handed" is out there.

There are several ways that Phish could go about releasing the song "Ass Handed". First, they could release it as a promotional single for the new album Big Boat. Second, they could release "Ass Handed" as a single independently of the album Big Boat. Thirdly, Jon Fishman, who wrote the song, could release "Ass Handed" as a single himself. Or lastly, Phish could release a live album of a show that contains the song "Ass Handed" and fans could purchase it as an individual song on iTunes or other mediums.

I fail to see how Phish would not make a lot of money off of this capital venture.
