Stop planned Bexley Children Centre reforms
The Issue
We are petitioning to stop Cabinet member for Childrens services Phillip Read and Bexley Councils plans to reform the way children centres in Bexley work.
These reforms would mean that Bexley parents will not be able to access Bexley Children centres or the services they currently provide, unless they are deemed vulnerable enough by the Councils criteria which is based on postcode.
Our Children's Centres are a valuable resource for all Bexley parents. A place where support is always available and there are no barriers to attending classes where parents and children can mix. Our Children's centres are an antidote to loneliness and without those resources we believe more people will become vulnerable.
This is about cuts, not about better services for the vulnerable. These cuts would save the Council £300.000 a year. These cuts will damage lives.
Please help us stop Bexley Council in their tracks and sign Our petition and get involved in our campaign.
