Karen corrie started this petition to Phillip Long

The Cafe at Greenbank is a valuable asset for local families, dog walkers and childminders. The Cafe offering has been enormously improved in the last year or so and was a thriving part of the neighbourhood.

As of Friday 4th Sept, with very little advance notice, probably deliberately, this will cease to trade, and may not even reopen in Spring. Nikita Rodgers who helped revive the cafe and turn it from loss to profit, and responded to the local needs, is being made redundant.

It also means there can be no community events held, even with social distancing, such as Halloween and Christmas. And that on the off chance the cafe reopens in spring it will be seasonal staff who will not be familiar with the local community or the smooth running of this service.

Please sign this petition to let the NTS know what an important part of the Gardens the cafe is to their offering, and how it might influence your liklihood to visit or crutially, buy membership.

You can change this decision, by letting the NTS know how you feel and why this is wrong. You can also email the new Cheif Executive Phillip Long at this address Plong@nts.org.uk

Please do this and save both the Cafe for the community and Nikita's job!
