Problem
Every day as per the study we need to have at least 8 glass of water (320 ml) to be fit and away from sickness.

Without a doubt, bottled water is our mainstream of how we consumed our water intake every day especially if we are away from our home.

BBC report, last 2016, Plastic bottles are the main cause of our plastic pollution that the manufacturer produced 480 Billion or 1 Million per Minute or 20 Thousand per Second and Coca-Cola is the biggest producer with the staggering 110 Billion on that year. As per a study, a plastic bottle will not decompose and only disintegrate and this disintegration will start after 450 years.

Here, in Cebu or Philippines, Philippine Spring Water Resources, Inc. or Nature’s Spring dominates the water world business. It is very visible even to the smallest business that we know, they are selling this brand and this product dominate also the trash along our streets, ocean and even mountain.

This kind of single-use plastic packaging has NO alternative to make it an eco-friendly as well as other brands at the moment. These plastic products are recyclable but people can’t dispose of it properly as most are uneducated enough even this time of the social media era. The effect of this irresponsibility causes our drainage system to clog and create floods during rainy days. There are street waste pickers who use this product as their way of earning money for their daily needs by selling this through junk shops. Last July 2018, shows that plastic bottles are one plastic products that cause clogging of our drainage along Colon St. in Cebu City spearheaded by DPS on their de-clogging activity.

Solution
Nature’s Spring or PSWRI to provide a RECEPTACLE BIN on each location of where they have their business (especially the along sidewalks) on our main street of where they even have a storage of their products.

In the presence of receptacle bins, we can have less plastic bottles in our drainage system during rainy days and our waste pickers can just go directly to the receptacle.

We are not saving mother-earth and our children's future, but also the food of our waste pickers.
