People who suffer from bullying ends up being depressed and feeling lonely. This leads to suicidal thoughts and then suicide. We are encouraging people to stop bullying to end this chain which can end someone's life. Bullying in the Philippines is widespread in schools and over the Internet, with a study that states that about 50 percent of Filipino students are bullied in school. Bullying can easily affect both the bully and the victim, and that’s why the government in the Philippines is working hard to prevent bullying. The latest act includes the signing of the anti-bullying act of 2013, which criminalizes any act of bullying or cyber bullying that happens in the country.
This project “Bully Proof” aims to get in touch with people who have been bullied or used to be a bully. We would like to make an impact especially to teenagers who are suffering anxiety and depression due to constant bullying. We want to make the bullies realize the effect that they’ve done to their victims’ mental health.
Bullying is a big time issue every one of us has faced, let us look up to the positive outcome of not minding those bullies but instead, use their hate comments about you as a motivation on improving yourself. Because there is so much more you can do than to bring other people who is doing good down. Let us help each other. Let us motivate and be an inspiration to others. Let us stand up for people who can't stand on their own. Because brave people can be anything.
