This Petition is a call for better treatment for aspins - who are often victims of cruelty or neglect - and encourages people to adopt aspins from shelters instead of buying from pet stores here in the Philippines.

Many of this stray dogs are now roaming the streets, being a danger to themselves and to the people around them. Allowing these dogs on the streets should not be the norm, especially since it gets these aspins killed. One of the reasons is that the owners of these dogs let their pets roam free because most think that these dogs can survive on their own. Now, here in the Philippines - if dogs are found freely roaming the streets, they will be caught and put down in pounds. And the number of dogs in the death row is increasing every day because of the negligence of the 'owners'. Animal cruelty can come from these negligence to take care of the pets. it is our duty to shelter and give homes to these poor animals. 

This will not only affect the citizens of the Philippines, but this petition aims for the adoption of animals in shelters, who are in danger of being put down, instead of buying pets in pet stores or breeders in the whole world. And the prevention of animal cruelty starts with us being responsible pet owners especially for our aspins.

Every dog deserves a home.
